How many banks do you know that make house calls? I know one, Regions Bank in Ellijay. We would like to publicly thank and commend Terri Wofford and Regions Bank for their wonderful support and kindness in offering assistance to Isaiah House. Ms. Wofford called us after reading about Isaiah House and offered to open checking and savings accounts for any of our interested resident men. She also offered to come to our residence to perform this service!
Ms. Wofford understands that Isaiah House is a transitional home for men in drug and alcohol recovery. She also understands that usually means there is a history of poor financial management and closed bank accounts… What Regions Bank offered was to give these men a clean slate, regardless of their past history and an opportunity to learn and practice good monetary habits. This was one more important step in helping these men transition back into society. Many folks in recovery are required to rely on money orders to pay bills because they have ruined their credit. We thank you, Ms. Wofford, for your compassion, your faith in Isaiah House and these men, and for restoring some of their dignity and respect.
We are happy to say we already bank at Regions Bank. If we didn’t we would be switching.
