We celebrated the Christmas holiday at our Coosawattee house this year. We had a White Christmas here in Ellijay. In fact, it was so white that we were snowed in for a few days. One of Our Men had to hike down the hill and walk back to Isaiah House to feed our animals. This Thanksgiving we enjoyed 16 Isaiah House men and guests. We were blessed with an abundance of food, laughter, and gratitude. We all shared what was the same and what had changed since last year. There was a lot of heartfelt reflection on how blessed each of us are.

This year our garden is off to a great start. We have been composting and rotating our food scraps for the garden all year. The winter compost has yielded rich dark soil and a plethora of worms! And thanks to my friend, Debra Young, who brought us a trailer load of horse manure, the garden is enjoying even greater nutrients!
