In the Press: A Public Thank You to Dr. James Craig and Craig Family Medicine

At Isaiah House, we believe in offering a helping hand and giving second chances. We believe in the possibility of changing your life and in supporting others going through personal growth and working to make their better lives. Dr. James Craig has joined with us to help bring hope where there was despair and to help change lives for the better. Earlier this month, I was thrilled to see that Ellijay’s Times-Currier chose to published my letter to the editor.

I would like to publicly thank Dr. James Craig (and the staff at Craig Family Medicine) for his amazing service to Isaiah House. Many of our men arrive with body, mind and spirit a bit in tatters. Many have dental and medical issues but no insurance or funding to address them.

Dr Craig has provided medical assistance to many Isaiah House men without charge. I cannot even begin to say what an amazing and significant gif this is. If you are looking for a new family doctor, please consider choosing Craig Family Medicine as it is obvious that they care about their patients and the community.

Ministry Firewood

To help generate income, Isaiah House has begun selling oak and black walnut firewood. Thank you to those who have supported Isaiah House by purchasing our wood.

This Thanksgiving we enjoyed 16 Isaiah House men and guests. We were blessed with an abundance of food, laughter, and gratitude. We all shared what was the same and what had changed since last year. There was a lot of heartfelt reflection on how blessed each of us are.

Lucy The Goat joins the Isaiah House Family

Yesterday my dear friend, Susan McPherson gave me a pregnant Sannen goat. We named her Lucy and she is beautiful. Max thought she was his new playmate and ran her all around for a while. Lucy very quickly found the roof of the goat house.

Clean-up is always more fun and goes by much faster when everyone pitches in to help. That’s why all of our residents take turns helping out in the kitchen and keeping the common areas clean.

And if your lucky, the Baking Fairies ( in this case, Ed & Sally’s daughter and grand-daughter) will have fresh cupcakes ready when you’re done.
