Prosperous Garden

Our garden has been a source of great enjoyment. Everything is starting to grow and we have already enjoyed the fruits of our labors. Radishes, collards, lettuce, green beans, snap peas and cucumbers are alreay being harvested. All the various herbs are thriving and most everything else is blooming.

Isaiah House Garden is under way!

We have  a vision and desire to offer a community garden where new and old friends alike, as well as those in need, may come learn about gardening and reap the benefits of their labor. We will instruct how to prepthe ground for gardening, how to sow seeds and care for  plants. We will demonstrate how to can, freeze and use fresh produce, and encourage giving to others. Gardens! and a surprise inspection from the Health Department :)

I have recently completed a grant application with Fiskers for garden supplies. Part of the application required creating something that expressed how I felt about gardening without words. Isaiah House holds first weekly CA (Cocaine Anonymous) Meeting

Tonight Isaiah House held its first weekly CA (Cocaine Anonymous) Meeting. It is affectionately named, ‘The Last Straw’ Group. There were about 20 people in attendance. It was a great meeting and the first CA group in this county. We look forward to seeing it grow. We now have six men in residence and three were hired by Pilgrim’s Pride today.

Isaiah House Visits Cartecay Baptist Church in Ellijay GA

Today we were invited to speak about Isaiah House at Cartecay Baptist Church in Ellijay. The pastor, Davis Lacey, held out a $100 dollar bill to several young children up front.
